Responsibilities
- Lead structured Taekwondo classes for students ranging from preschool children to adults, ensuring safety and proper technique.
- Teach customized training plans that cater to different skill levels and age groups.
- Promote a positive, motivating atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence building.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate achievements to boost morale.
- Enforce behavior management strategies to maintain discipline and respectful conduct during classes.
- Assist with event organization such as belt tests, demonstrations, or competitions, to showcase student progress.
- Help maintain the cleanliness and safety standards of training areas, equipment, and facilities.
Experience
- Proven experience in martial arts, particularly Taekwondo, with Kukkiwon Black Belt certification is preferred.
- Prior teaching or coaching experience working with children or adults in sports or physical education settings.
- Knowledge of sports coaching techniques, behavior management, and child development principles.
- Lifeguard experience or background in first aid is a plus, but not required
- Experience working with young children
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and age ranges while fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
