Position Title: Client Services Representative
Organization: Galveston County Food Bank
The Galveston County Food Bank is seeking a Client Services Representative to assist our busy pantry front desk. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors and plays an important role in supporting daily pantry operations.
The ideal candidate is professional, organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced community service environment.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum 1 year administrative or clerical experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
- Strong typing and computer skills
- Ability to learn new software and telephone systems
- Professional demeanor with strong phone etiquette
- Ability to make decisions and problem solve in real time
- Outgoing personality suited for a high-energy, community-focused environment
- Ability to lift items up to 30 lbs
- Must pass drug test and background check
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the front desk reception area, greet visitors, and answer incoming phone calls
- Assist pantry clients with check-in , front desk support and pantry areas
- Receive monetary and food donations and notify appropriate departments (marketing, accounting, or warehouse)
- Ensure proper care and operation of office equipment in the front office area
- Communicate and collaborate with warehouse and administrative staff
- Provide general administrative support as needed
