Overview
Arlington Pediatric Associates is looking for a hardworking and dedicated medical assistant to join our well established, community-based pediatric practice. This is a wonderful opportunity for a medical assistant that values working with children and families in a supportive, team-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and take age-appropriate vital signs
- Perform point of care testing, administer immunizations/injections and in-office tests including flu, COVID, strep, urine dip
- Assist pediatric providers with physical exams and medical procedures
- Prepare exam rooms, help take inventory of supplies, and restock rooms as needed
- Answer phone calls, help patients schedule visits, and offer medical support and guidance
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a pediatric or fast-paced outpatient setting
- A warm and child-friendly demeanor
- Passion for working directly with children and families
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or willingness to obtain upon hire
Schedule
- Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
- Rotating weekend coverage 8am - 12pm (about one day every 2 months)

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
