Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and early childhood education strategies.
- Support students with special needs, including those with autism or other disabilities, to promote inclusive learning experiences.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to help students improve literacy skills, numeracy, and overall academic confidence.
- Help manage classroom behavior by applying effective behavior management techniques and maintaining a positive environment.
- Support classroom activities by preparing materials, proofreading instructional content, and organizing learning resources.
- Engage with children during playtime and structured activities to foster social skills and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress, document observations, and communicate effectively with parents or guardians.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices, including working with individuals with disabilities or autism.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles and early childhood education methods such as Montessori or other progressive approaches.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring students to enhance literacy education and math skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills for proofreading educational materials and supporting lesson preparation.
