Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and versatile Landscaping and Snow Removal Technician to maintain safe, clean, and beautiful outdoor environments across all seasons. During the warmer months, you will handle complete lawn care and property beautification. In the winter, you will pivot to ensuring safety and accessibility by efficiently clearing snow and ice from pathways, driveways, and parking lots. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to work outdoors, develop diverse hands-on trade skills, and contribute directly to community safety and property aesthetics.
Responsibilities
- Lawn Care & Maintenance: Mow lawns, edge walkways, and weed garden beds to maintain a manicured appearance.
- Property Beautification: Trim trees and bushes, spread mulch, and plant seasonal greenery.
- Winter Snow Removal: Operate plows, snow blowers, shovels, and salt spreaders to clear snow and ice from designated areas.
- Weather Strategy: Assess weather conditions regularly to determine the most effective treatment and removal strategies.
- Ice Prevention: Apply salt to prevent ice formation on high-traffic surfaces.
- Equipment Care: Perform routine maintenance on commercial landscaping tools, trucks, trailers, and winter machinery to ensure optimal operation.
- Safety Protocols: Follow strict safety standards diligently to prevent accidents or injuries across all seasonal work environments.
- Team Coordination: Work alongside crew members to prioritize high-risk areas and complete properties efficiently.
- Reporting: Document completed jobs and report equipment defects or property hazards promptly to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Driving Experience: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Towing Capability: Proven experience safely driving a truck with a utility trailer attached.
- Equipment Operation: Ability to operate commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and grounds maintenance machinery safely.
- Physical Stamina: Excellent physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), and work outdoors in extreme heat or freezing winter conditions for extended shifts.
- Availability: Flexible schedule required, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on weather events.
- Teamwork: Reliable team player with a proactive attitude toward safety, detail, and efficiency.
- Prior Experience: Previous work in commercial landscaping, groundskeeping, or professional snow removal is highly preferred.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
