Genesis Learning Centers is a private, non-profit agency that specializes in providing therapeutic schools and services for children and adolescents who are experiencing intense emotional, behavioral, developmental, and learning challenges. We are currently seeking an Associate Teacher at our Genesis Academy location in Nashville, TN. Each of our students receives services designed to meet their specific needs on every level of care in a small, child-centered environment. Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are carefully developed and reviewed regularly with our students and their families as we want every student to have a positive, supportive, and adaptive learning experience. As an Associate Teacher, you will partner with the Classroom Teacher in planning and teaching. Salary commensurate with experience and is competitive with area school systems. This is an academic year position with summers off.
- Must have experience with children
- Experience in special education preferred
- Emotional Dysregulation experience is a plus
- Must have a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of the children we serve and believe that all students deserve a high-quality education.
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint/background check and drug screen.
