Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Infant/One's Teacher to join our caring team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants and one-year-olds. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster early childhood growth and ensure a positive experience for both children and their families.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development for infants and toddlers
- Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and supervising children throughout the day
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with daily cleaning and organization duties throughout the center, including tasks outside of the classroom or area assigned for the day
- Support overall center cleanliness by helping with sanitizing toys, organizing supplies, cleaning shared spaces, and other housekeeping tasks as needed
- Observe and document each child's progress, behaviors, and milestones to share with parents regularly
- Support children’s socialization skills through positive interactions and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent routines and effective classroom management
- Follow all licensing requirements, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure a secure environment
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants, toddlers, or young children in daycare, preschool, nannying, or babysitting roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavior challenges positively
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to maintain patience, compassion, and professionalism in a dynamic environment
Additional Information
- This role requires flexibility and teamwork, as staff may be asked to assist in different classrooms or areas of the center as needed
- A 30-minute break will be provided each shift; however, break times may vary depending on staffing and classroom needs
