Duties
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics treatments with precision and compassion
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history review, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using digital tools such as Dentrix or similar practice management software
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs and preferences while explaining procedures clearly to ensure informed consent
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations
- Implement infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
- Collaborate with dental specialists such as oral surgeons or endodontists when advanced procedures are necessary
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses and treatment options to patients and team members
- Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, oral surgery techniques, and healthcare diagnosis standards
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid state dental license in good standing
- Proven experience in general dentistry practice within a dental clinic or office setting; familiarity with dental office software such as Dentrix preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical documentation standards
- Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics procedures, endodontics treatments, and dental fabrication processes
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently for optimal patient comfort and workflow productivity
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including pediatrics; ability to assess patient needs effectively
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws ensuring confidentiality and compliance at all times
