Maintenance Technician – Full-Time
A large manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on building maintenance experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently complete repairs and maintenance projects are essential.
Qualifications / Experience Required
- 1–3 years of building maintenance experience in a commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environment
- Experience with general facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing repairs, HVAC support, door and dock maintenance, and basic carpentry tasks
- Basic troubleshooting skills in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices for building systems and facility infrastructure
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including participation in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency maintenance issues
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Forklift operation experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and respond effectively to facility-related issues
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems and facility infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical issues throughout the facility
- Perform general building maintenance, including lighting replacement, minor plumbing repairs, HVAC filter changes, door and dock adjustments, painting, and basic carpentry repairs
- Maintain and inspect facility infrastructure to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs involving building systems and facility equipment
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs
- Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Maintain maintenance records and communicate repair status with supervisors and team members
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and assist in maintaining a clean and organized facility
Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and carry up to 50 lbs. at shoulder height
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and navigate tight or elevated spaces
- Comfortable working in a range of temperatures and weather conditions
- Ability to work at heights using ladders, lifts, or elevated work platforms
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment while performing building repairs and facility maintenance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
