Seasonal General Laborer/Tractor Driver – Peanut Harvest

Schedule: Full-time seasonal hours with overtime available
Candler Peanut Inc. is hiring dependable Seasonal General Laborers/Tractor Drivers for the upcoming 2026 peanut harvest season at our Metter location.
This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced agricultural environment. Applicants should be comfortable performing physical labor as well as operating and driving a tractor as part of their regular job duties.
Job Duties
- Assist with general peanut plant and warehouse operations
- Operate and drive tractors safely as needed throughout the facility
- Assist with moving peanut trailers, equipment, or other materials using a tractor
- Help with loading, unloading, cleaning, and other harvest-related tasks
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
- Assist equipment operators and other employees as needed
- Perform general physical labor throughout the facility
- Follow all company and workplace safety procedures
Qualifications
- Must be able to safely operate and drive a tractor
- Previous tractor, farm equipment, or agricultural experience is preferred
- Dependable and willing to work
- Able to perform physical labor and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Able to work in an agricultural environment that may include heat, dust, and noise
- Willing to work extended hours during peak harvest
- Available for evenings and weekends when needed
- Able to work well with others and follow instructions
Schedule
Peanut harvest is our busiest time of year. Applicants should be prepared for long hours, overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed depending on harvest conditions.
Plenty of overtime opportunity is available during peak harvest.
