Green Meadows Foods is an artisan jerky manufacturer with more than 20 years of experience in co-packing, manufacturing, and product development. Our facility is located in Paxton, Illinois, approximately 30 miles north of Champaign.
Shipping/Receiving Associate
Pay: $16.50 per hour and up, based on experience | Hours: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
The Shipping/Receiving Associate provides direct support to the Shipping/Receiving Manager and Production Floor Manager by helping prepare, verify, stage, and move product safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate a forklift safely and as needed
· Follow good manufacturing practices and all safety procedures
· Count finished product, pack it into outer shipping cases, and palletize cases accurately
· Follow established palletizing patterns
· Prepare, wrap, and stage orders for shipment
· Assist with loading and unloading inbound and outbound trucks
· Support quality control pre-shipment checks
· Complete other tasks or duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to follow verbal direction
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Strong time management skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Dependable, positive, and committed to a strong work ethic
· Basic computer skills
· Strong attention to detail
· BOL/manifest experience strongly preferred
· Forklift certification preferred
