Overview
Join our team as a Maintenance Technician and play an important role in keeping our properties and facilities in excellent condition. In this hands-on position, you'll handle a variety of repair, maintenance, and improvement projects, helping ensure buildings are safe, functional, and well-maintained. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and taking pride in quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs and maintenance, including drywall patching, painting, carpentry, flooring repairs, and minor plumbing and electrical work.
- Install, repair, and replace doors, locks, windows, cabinets, light fixtures, ceiling fans, faucets, toilets, and other building fixtures.
- Assemble and install furniture, shelving, appliances, and equipment as needed.
- Complete routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and resolve issues before they become larger problems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot a wide range of building repairs.
- Perform basic landscaping and exterior maintenance, including pressure washing, gutter cleaning, fence repairs, and debris removal when needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
- Keep accurate records of completed work, materials used, and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with vendors or contractors when specialized repairs are required while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a maintenance technician, facilities maintenance worker, or in a similar role.
- Strong skills in general carpentry, painting, drywall repair, basic plumbing, and basic electrical repairs.
- Experience using common hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to diagnose and complete a wide variety of residential or commercial maintenance tasks independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license may be required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
