Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including dishwashing stations, prep zones, and dining spaces, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items under supervision.
- Support catering and banquet setups by preparing serving stations and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready.
- Help with bussing tables during service hours to ensure a clean dining environment for guests.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders and maintain a positive work environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with restaurant or hotel operations, including food handling and cleaning protocols, is advantageous.
- Experience with catering or banquet events can be a plus, demonstrating adaptability in busy settings.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques or culinary experience is beneficial but not mandatory—training will be provided!
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
