Walters Accountancy Corporation (WACCPA) is a full-service accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and CFO advisory firm serving small and mid-sized businesses across Southern California. We work embedded in our clients’ businesses — handling everything from day-to-day financials to high-level strategic planning — so they can focus on running their companies.
We’re growing fast, our client retention is strong, and we’re now building the sales infrastructure to match our delivery capability. This is the first dedicated sales hire in firm history.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced closer to own the full revenue cycle — from prospecting to close — and help us scale from a strong book of business to a regional market leader. You’ll work directly with firm leadership, have full autonomy over your pipeline, and be the person who defines how WACCPA grows.
This is not a lead-following role. You’ll be expected to self-prospect, build relationships, and close. In return, you get a real base, uncapped commission, and a direct path to running the sales function as the firm scales.
What You’ll Own
- Full-cycle sales: prospecting, outreach, discovery, proposal, and close
- Target market: SMBs $1M–$20M in revenue across construction, professional services, and distribution
- Average deal size: $5,000/month recurring revenue
- Self-sourced outreach plus inbound lead follow-up
- CRM ownership — you build and maintain your own pipeline
- Pipeline reporting directly to firm leadership
- Input into pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy
What Success Looks Like in 90 Days
- You understand our service offering and can run a discovery call without hand-holding
- Your CRM is built out with an active pipeline of qualified prospects
- You’ve scheduled meetings with 3 prospects
- Closed 1 monthly service engagement
- You’ve identified at least two referral channels worth developing
Compensation
- Base Salary: $70,000
- Commission: 10% of first-year contract value on every closed deal
- Renewal Commission: 5% of contract value through month 24
- OTE Year 1: $100,000 – $120,000
- OTE Year 2+: $180,000
- Uncapped — no ceiling on what you can earn
- No clawbacks after 90 days
- 90-day protected ramp period
Growth Path
We’re building fast. The expectation is that the right person in this role doesn’t stay an individual contributor for long. As the firm scales, this role has a direct path to VP of Sales or Head of Revenue — leading the full sales function, building and managing a team, and stepping into a leadership seat with profit participation and compensation to match.

You Are:
- 3–5 years of closing experience in professional services, B2B SaaS, payroll, or financial services
- Experienced selling to business owners, operators, and CFOs
- Self-directed — you don’t need leads handed to you and you don’t need to be managed closely
- Comfortable with a longer sales cycle and consultative selling
- Organized and disciplined with your CRM and pipeline management
- Looking to plant a flag somewhere and build, not just hit quota and move on
Pay: $70,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
