Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our company. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structures for a wide range of projects. You will work closely with the owner, architects, and construction teams. This position is local remote with a home office in the Treasure Valley Area. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing company. Preferred candidate is local to the Boise, ID area. Open to remote work with the right qualifications.
Duties
- Develop comprehensive structural designs using AutoCAD and Revit to create structural drawing sets.
- Perform detailed structural analysis of various materials including wood, concrete, steel, and masonry.
- Coordinate project scheduling to ensure timely delivery of design phases and construction milestones while managing multiple projects efficiently
- Prepare technical reports and construction documents with clarity and accuracy for use by contractors and owners
- Conduct site visits during construction to monitor progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Utilize Bluebeam for document review, markup, and collaboration with project teams to streamline communication and project workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Proficiency in design of wood, concrete, steel, and masonry
- Strong construction knowledge
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Tedds, and Risa 2D
- Strong knowledge of system design principles including load calculations, material selection, and construction practices.
- Experience working on residential and small commercial projects
- Excellent technical writing skills for preparing detailed reports, specifications, and documentation.
