As a Locum MD, you will play a vital role in the surgical team, ensuring patient safety and comfort during anesthesia for cardiac procedures. Your specialized skills will contribute to our commitment to providing top-tier medical services within the cardiac field, aligning closely with the strategic goals of our practice.
- Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures, primarily in cardiac cases

Monitor patient vital signs throughout the perioperative period

Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff

Evaluate patient medical histories and prepare pre-anesthetic assessments

Manage post-anesthesia recovery and ensure patient safety

Provide guidance and training to junior staff and medical students

Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Stay informed of the latest developments in anesthesiology practices and techniques
- MD or DO degree with certification in Anesthesiology

Active medical license in the state of Missouri

Experience in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred

Strong understanding of anesthetic techniques and pharmacology

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care

Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology is a plus
Level I Trauma
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12-hour day shifts
Case Types: Adult cardiac surgery, structural heart interventions, electrophysiology and AF management, advanced heart failure, and adult congenital heart disease
Support Staff: Residents and fellows
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
