Your role in our team:
The Maintenance Team Lead at WITRON plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of automated systems within a high-volume distribution center. This hands-on leadership position oversees technician assignments, responds to equipment issues, and coordinates repairs while promoting safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. The role supports system monitoring, fault analysis, and effective use of CMMS tools, contributing to a clean, organized, and efficient operation through collaboration and technical expertise.

You are a skilled electromechanical technician with hands-on experience in automated environments and a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. You’re familiar with control systems, basic PLC logic, and comfortable working with digital tools. You approach tasks with attention to detail, a strong sense of safety, and a practical mindset. With a natural ability to guide others and set the pace, you lead by example maintaining high standards, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary training from a technical school or vocational program (e.g., Electrician, Millwright)

Skills/Experience Required:
- 2 years minimum experience as an Electromechanical Technician

Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing automated systems (e.g., conveyors, cranes, hoists)

Skilled in mechanical repairs and use of hand/power tools (a must)
-
Familiarity with AC systems up to 600/400/480 volts and DC systems up to 24 volts
-
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring tools
-
Knowledge of electrical/mechanical drive technology (e.g., motors and gears)
-
Familiarity with control technology (e.g., controls, inverters)
-
Basic understanding of PLC logic
-
Ability to climb vertical ladders and work at heights up to 100 feet (30 meters) with training and PPE, such as fall protection harness

Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from 55°F to -15°F (13°C to -26°C), (PPE provided)

Willing to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends (shifts based on hire date and operational needs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the duties and work assignment of the maintenance technicians on each shift

Be the first responder on all maintenance calls with the objective of correcting the issue or as needed, assign to other technicians

Perform planned and unplanned electrical and mechanical repairs

Ensure proper knowledge and utilization of our internal Computerized Maintenance Management System (WiTool)

Provide technical escalation and non-technical support for equipment operators

Responsible for system performance monitoring and operational status awareness

Problem solve and provide diagnosis of general electrical and mechanical faults

Conduct equipment cleaning as an essential part of the maintenance of equipment

Keep work areas, clean, organized and free from debris or clutter

Ensure proper utilization of tools and spare parts and responsible for loss prevention of tools and spare parts

Adherence and implementation of 5S principles
