Job Overview:
The General Foreman oversees and coordinates the daily activities of construction crews, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget, adhering to Primoris Energy Services standards.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Directly supervise and manage multiple construction crews and foremen on various energy services projects, including pipelines, facilities, and civil infrastructure.
- Plan, schedule, and assign work tasks, ensuring efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Implement and enforce all company and regulatory safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget.
- Coordinate with project management, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets established standards and specifications.
- Train, mentor, and develop crew members, fostering a high-performance and safety-conscious work environment.
- Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and other required documentation.
- Manage equipment maintenance and repair, ensuring all machinery is in safe and operational condition.
- Resolve on-site conflicts and issues effectively and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and best practices.
Job Qualifications:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent; advanced vocational training or construction management certification preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in heavy civil or energy infrastructure construction, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role as a Foreman or General Foreman.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and direct large crews.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and safety regulations (OSHA, pipeline safety regulations, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using construction management software and standard office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding outdoor environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various project sites as required.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Relevant heavy equipment operation certifications are a plus.
