The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in the daily operations of the Stellar Snacks warehouse and manufacturing plant. This individual is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining precise inventory records, and ensuring product integrity throughout the receiving and shipping process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically fit, and thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Receiving & Inbound Logistics

Receive and unload incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods

Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading for accuracy

Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, and discrepancies; document and report issues promptly

Label, sort, and put away received goods in designated warehouse locations

Enter receiving data accurately into the inventory management system (WMS/ERP)
Shipping & Outbound Logistics

Pick, pack, and prepare outbound orders for shipment in accordance with customer specifications

Generate and affix shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation

Coordinate with freight carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries

Load outbound shipments onto trucks/trailers using a forklift or pallet jack
-
Ensure all outbound shipments comply with food safety and regulatory labeling requirements
Inventory & Documentation

Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits

Reconcile shipping and receiving records; investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies

Maintain organized and accurate filing of all shipping/receiving documentation

Track and report damaged, expired, or non-conforming product per company procedures
Warehouse Operations & Safety

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and in compliance with OSHA standards

Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work area at all times

Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and food safety protocols within the facility

Participate in safety training and adhere to all company health and safety policies

Assist with general warehouse duties and special projects as assigned by management
Required

High school diploma or GED
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
-
Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)

Basic computer skills; experience with WMS, ERP, or inventory software a plus

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and stand/walk for extended periods

Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred

Experience in a food manufacturing, food distribution, or FMCG environment

Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, or food safety standards

Forklift certification (sit-down, reach truck, or stand-up)

Experience with RF scanners and barcode systems
This position requires the following physical activities on a regular basis:

Standing and walking for up to 8–10 hours per shift

Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items up to 50 lbs.

Occasional lifting of items up to 75 lbs. with assistance
