In this role, you'll leverage your mechanical expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and service diesel engines, industrial machinery, and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, and electrical systems using computers.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and air brake inspections to prevent breakdowns.
- Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs.
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of complex equipment components during repairs or rebuilds while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed; communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding maintenance needs or issues.

Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and suspension components.
- Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for precise troubleshooting.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial machinery.
- Proficient in welding, soldering, fabrication techniques, and use of power tools for custom repairs or modifications.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various environments; familiarity with tire service is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
- Electrical experience including automotive diagnostics; knowledge of vehicle maintenance systems is advantageous.
- Familiarity with service technician procedures for vehicle maintenance including brake repair, wheel alignment, air brake systems, and HVAC servicing.
