Dixie Metalcraft, a precision sheet metal and machine shop, is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that manufactured parts and components meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts and components.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, pins, and other inspection equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to verify product requirements.
- Inspect, test, and measure materials and products throughout the manufacturing process.
- Monitor production operations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Communicate inspection findings with production personnel and management.
- Assist with maintaining AS9100 compliance with customer and internal quality requirements.
Qualifications:
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Previous quality inspection experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of measuring tools and inspection techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
