Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage to address client concerns and promote relaxation.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health conditions, pain points, and treatment goals.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, gather feedback, and adjust treatments accordingly for optimal results.
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including treatment plans and client progress notes, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies or referrals for ongoing health needs.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient service by creating a calm, professional environment that fosters trust and comfort.
- Stay current with industry trends and expand your expertise in modalities such as occupational health treatments or med spa services.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist with proof of completed training from an accredited program.
- Proficiency in various massage techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately assess patient needs and tailor treatments.
- Experience with patient assessment methods and pain management strategies to develop effective treatment plans.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse clients.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required to ensure client safety during treatments.
- Prior experience working in med spas or occupational health settings is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for continuous learning is essential.
