Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Lead Dental Assistant to join our dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by assisting dentists during procedures, managing clinical workflows, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and dental technology will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
Duties
- Assist chairside during a variety of dental procedures. Must have implant and oral surgery experience.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management protocols.
- Familiar with taking 3D intraoral scans, 3D/Conebeam X-rays ensuring proper technique and patient comfort while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards.
- Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient management support by taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly to foster a positive patient experience.
- Maintain clinical cleanliness by following aseptic techniques and infection control policies to prevent cross-contamination.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and acting as a dental receptionist when needed to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or equivalent practice management software.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques.
- Skilled in chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort.
- Ability to operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras (including 3D scanners), and other clinical tools confidently.
- Excellent understanding of dental instrument processing and medical imaging procedures.
- Knowledge of healthcare infection control standards and clinical confidentiality policies aligned with HIPAA compliance.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry settings.
Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
