JOB SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Public Safety Department, the position of Crossing Guard will be responsible for the safe crossing of school children at designated City locations. Direct the actions of children and traffic at street intersections and cross walk areas to assist in the control of safe crossing.Report hazardous conditions to the Public Safety Department and appropriate authorities such as traffic light malfunctions; report suspicious activities or vehicles; report behavioral issues such as fighting; report frequent vehicle violations such as speeding and not stopping; make safety presence known via City issued signs and identifiable uniforms at all times; related duties as required.
