The Sierra County Clerk-Recorder is currently recruiting for the position of
Deputy Clerk-Recorder I, II, or III
Deputy County Clerk-Recorder I: Under direct supervision, to provide basic assistance in the acceptance, scanning, indexing, and filing of legal and land transaction documents; to provide general assistance in all areas of the County Clerk-Recorder’s Office including Elections and Clerk to the Board of Supervisors; to maintain account records; to provide assistance to the public, explaining document filing requirements and the procedures and functions of the County Clerk- Recorder’s Office and to do related work as required.
Deputy County Clerk-Recorder II: Under general supervision, to perform work in the acceptance, scanning, indexing, and filing of legal and land transaction documents; to provide election assistance in voter registration, candidates filing documents, petition verification, and vote canvassing; to issue licenses and permits; to answer questions and inquiries concerning past, present, and future business of the Board of Supervisors and Board actions; general assistance in all areas of the County Clerk- Recorder’s Office including Elections, Vital Statistics, Clerk filings, and Board of Supervisors; to provide assistance to the public explaining document filing requirements and the procedures and functions of the County Clerk-Recorder’s Office; and to do related work as required.
Deputy County Clerk-Recorder III: Under direction, perform the more difficult and complex work in the acceptance, scanning, indexing, and filing of legal and land transaction documents; to compile and maintain vital statistic reports and end of the month reports; to provide election assistance in voter registration, acceptance of candidates filing documents, acceptance of petitions, and vote canvassing; to issue licenses and permits; to answer questions and inquiries concerning past, present, and future business of the Board of Supervisors and Board actions; general assistance in all areas of the County Clerk-Recorder’s Office including Elections, Vital Statistics, Clerk filings, and Board of Supervisors; to provide assistance to the public explaining document filing requirements and the procedures and functions of the County Clerk-Recorder’s Office and to do related work as required.
