Job OverviewLineage Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Caretakers to provide essential care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, aging, and health conditions. This position is for multiple people looking to make extra money on the weekend working Friday and Saturday (20hrs). You will manage the care of no more than 3 clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support residents during meal preparation, cooking, and feeding to promote proper nutrition and hydration
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards
- Document care activities meticulously in accordance with care plans and regulatory requirements
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for residents with autism
Skills
- Proven experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs accurately
- Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and HIPAA compliance standards
- Skilled in performing CPR and First Aid to respond effectively during emergencies
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, memory care needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Familiarity with care planning processes and assisting with ADLs in a compassionate manner
