American Traveler is hiring a Rehab RN for an inpatient rehabilitation unit requiring an active IL RN license and at least 1 year of rehab, LTAC, or inpatient Med/Surg experience.

Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 6:15 to 18:45

13-week assignment length

Active IL RN license in hand

Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required, with Rehab or LTAC experience accepted and inpatient Med/Surg experience preferred

Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers with at least 2 years of experience may be considered

Skills in non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, nasal cannula use, tracheostomy care/management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care required

Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required, including use of rapid response/code teams

Current Nursys license verification report required (pulled within the last 2 weeks)

Provide direct patient care within an inpatient rehabilitation setting

Respond to rapid response and code team situations as needed

Requested time off (RTO) limited to no more than 3 days, with no RTO permitted during the first or last week of the contract

Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate

Former University of Chicago Medicine, PRN, or Ingalls permanent staff must have separated from employment for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler
