Overview
We are a family-owned fire protection company seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. Individuals with 5+ years in the construction industry field performing bookkeeping mandatory. If you do not have construction industry bookkeeping experience, need not apply. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and project-specific billing management, data entry, and client follow-up. Your expertise will support the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency, enabling us to achieve our strategic goals with confidence. This position can offer flexibility on which days are needed per week.

Duties
- Record and process banking transactions (data entry) using accounting software.
- Accounts Receivable
- Enter billing into QuickBooks Online platform
- Send billing to clients
- Follow up with clients regarding billing approvals along with collections
- Accounts Payable
- Match proof of deliveries for materials, equipment, and supplies
- Enter same data into QuickBooks Online platform
- Support budgeting processes by tracking accounts receivable and payable accounts.
- Ability to reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness, helpful but not necessary.
- Project Assistance
- Follow up with clients on approvals of change order work
- Enter change order work into project management programs
- Insurance certificate tracking and communication between our brokers and our clients
Skills
- Experience in QuickBooks online and AIA billing programs required.
- Familiarity with project management software, Egnyte, preferred.
- Construction insurance knowledge preferred
- Basic understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable management, and budget tracking.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and financial analysis.
- Professional communication skills to facilitate ongoing relationships with new and existing clients
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
