Job description:
- We are seeking a skilled and motivated Aerial Lift Field Technician to join our team. The Field Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of aerial lift equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, and other mobile elevated work platforms at customer job sites and company facilities. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues on aerial lift equipment.
- Perform annual inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety checks in accordance with manufacturer and ANSI standards.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, control systems, and electrical circuits.
- Complete service calls at customer job sites and company facilities.
- Perform repairs at our company facility when required.
- Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic information.
- Document repairs, inspections, parts usage, and labor accurately.
- Maintain company service vehicle, tools, and equipment.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding repair status and equipment operation.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years’ experience working on aerial lifts, construction equipment, forklifts, or heavy equipment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair diesel, gasoline, and propane engines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- References required.
