American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Critical Care Float Pool ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency, working night shifts at a major academic medical center in Ohio.

Critical Care Float Pool position in a large academic medical center setting

Nurses float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, and NCCU
-
Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30)

Epic EMR proficiency required

Patients require telemetry monitoring and ventilator management

Active OH or Compact RN license required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

Proficiency with Epic EMR required

IV start experience required

Telemetry experience required

Ventilator management experience required

Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable for the second reference; coworker references are not accepted

Former employees of the facility are eligible after a 6-month separation period

RTO must be requested at time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or less for the contract period

Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after booking — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to a fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
