Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Short Order and Salad Bar Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and assemble salads, sandwiches, and short order items with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Follow established recipes and menu guidelines to deliver flavorful dishes that meet customer expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salad bar and cooking stations, adhering to food safety management protocols.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety standards in production, including proper storage, sanitation, and temperature controls.
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new salad options or quick-serve items based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Serve guests promptly with friendly, professional service while maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within the restaurant or food industry setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in kitchen skills such as knife handling, slicing techniques, and meal preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards in production environments, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Experience with menu planning, catering, or serving in fast-paced environments is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
