Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Revenue Manager to oversee financial revenue processes and optimize revenue streams across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on ensuring accurate revenue recognition and reporting. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement revenue recognition policies aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports related to revenue streams, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of payments received.
- Conduct detailed analysis of revenue data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal controls, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, billing, and compliance to streamline revenue cycle processes.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation related to revenue recognition and financial reporting.
- Mentor junior staff in accounting practices, fostering professional development within the finance team.
Experience
- Proven experience in corporate or non-profit accounting with a focus on revenue management or financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory reporting requirements, and technical accounting standards.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, and cash flow management.
- Familiarity with financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and accrual accounting practices.
- Experience working within a healthcare organization is required with home care and/or hospice experience preferred
- Excellent analytical skills combined with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
