What You'll Do
As an Overnight Resident Monitor, you'll serve as the eyes, ears, and steady presence of the facility during overnight operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safety, security, and supervision of residents
- Conduct resident counts, inspections, and searches
- Monitor resident movement and overnight activities
- Complete reports, logs, and documentation accurately
- Process resident intakes and maintain records
- Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
- Identify and report safety, medical, or behavioral concerns
- Enforce facility rules, procedures, and emergency protocols
- Participate in training and team meetings
- Promote a respectful, structured, and accountable environment

Core Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Ability to pass a background screening and meet Florida Department of Corrections requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Accurate documentation and report-writing ability
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and enforce rules consistently
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Willingness to work with justice-involved individuals in a structured residential setting
- Schedule12-Hour Overnight Rotating Shifts
Enjoy a schedule designed to provide more days off each week.
- Typically 3–4 shifts per week
- Nights, weekends, and holidays required
- Overtime opportunities may be available
Work Environment
This role operates within a secure residential facility and requires:
- Frequent interaction with residents
- Walking and monitoring throughout the facility
- Routine computer and documentation work
- Exposure to safety-sensitive situations
- Consistent adherence to policies and procedures
