Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and fixing a variety of vehicle issues. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring that all repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed on each vehicle.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's needs.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of air brake systems and diesel engine repair is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge.
- Experience with schematics, powertrain systems, alignment, suspension, shocks & struts, and tire service.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and auto body repair techniques.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and perform welding tasks as needed.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in auto estimating for GM vehicles is an advantage.
