Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic 7th Grade English Language Arts Teacher to inspire and guide students through their critical literacy development. Responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development, creative writing, and literacy education strategies tailored to diverse learning styles and social sciences content.
- Utilize instructional design principles to create IT-integrated lessons that enhance student engagement and understanding of complex texts.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques, ensuring a safe space conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing methods, providing constructive feedback and adapting instruction accordingly.
- Mentor students in developing strong writing skills, including copy editing, proofreading, and adherence to AP style and Chicago Manual of Style standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, instructional strategies, and educational compliance to meet regulatory standards and promote best practices.
- Support students’ social-emotional growth by recognizing individual learning styles and implementing differentiated instruction to meet their unique needs.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to learning technology, research methodologies, library services, and special education practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English Education, Linguistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred with higher education teaching experience.
- Proven classroom experience teaching middle school students with a focus on social sciences or language arts.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, standardized testing procedures, and educational regulation compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor students effectively while working collaboratively with staff and parents.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching social sciences, literacy education, creative writing, journalism, or related disciplines such as math or social sciences integration.
- Proficiency in learning technology tools, IT-integrated lesson implementation, research techniques, and library services utilization.
- Experience working with diverse learners including those requiring special education accommodations or Montessori-based approaches is highly desirable.
- Organizational skills necessary for lesson planning, instructional delivery, assessment tracking, and educational administration tasks.

Pay: $50,500.00 - $75,764.11 per year
