Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Logistics Director to lead our supply chain and logistics operations, driving efficiency, innovation, and excellence across all facets of our manufacturing and distribution processes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee end-to-end supply chain management, including procurement, production planning, demand forecasting, and logistics execution. Your leadership will ensure seamless coordination between manufacturing units, suppliers, and distribution channels, enabling us to meet customer demands with agility and precision. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with company goals, emphasizing lean manufacturing principles to optimize flow and reduce waste
- Oversee procurement activities, including purchasing and supplier management, ensuring timely sourcing of materials through ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS
- Lead demand planning and production scheduling efforts utilizing MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools to balance inventory levels with production capacity
- Manage logistics operations encompassing transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure efficient delivery of products worldwide
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams on plant management initiatives, ensuring production planning aligns with demand forecasts and supply chain capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing techniques to enhance process efficiency and reduce costs
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations related to supply chain management, procurement, and logistics
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior supply chain or logistics leadership role within manufacturing environments
- Strong expertise in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms for managing procurement, inventory control, and production planning
- Deep understanding of demand planning, MRP systems, and production scheduling methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in supply chain management, plant operations, purchasing, and logistics functions
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data to inform strategic decisions
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and with external partners
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus
