We are seeking a dynamic Light Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team! In this energetic role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing HVAC systems in commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance while providing exceptional customer service. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on light commercial HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and system analysis techniques.
- Repair and replace mechanical components such as compressors, fans, motors, valves, and pumps to restore system functionality.
- Install new HVAC equipment following HVAC design specifications and schematics to ensure efficient operation.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems when necessary, including refrigerant charging and drainage solutions.
- Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to perform equipment repairs and system upgrades efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during every interaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with a focus on light commercial systems.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building construction processes is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) systems including electrical systems and building automation controls.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC system diagrams accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience repairing mechanical systems such as boilers and ammonia refrigeration units.
- Proficiency with electrical diagnostics tools including ohmmeters; experience with electrical troubleshooting is essential.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC design or plumbing are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate various hand tools safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
