Position Overview
The Orthodontic Assistant is a key clinical partner to the orthodontist. You will perform a wide range of hands-on orthodontic procedures, manage patient flow, and handle adjustments and tasks that keep the doctor’s chair time efficient and focused.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical, hands-on work, thrives in a structured environment, and takes pride in being the reason the clinic runs smoothly and on time.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Skills & Adjustments (Major Focus of the Role)
You will be trained and expected to competently perform:
- Archwire changes and adjustments
- Bracket repairs and rebonds
- Placing/remove ligatures, power chains, open coils, and other auxiliaries
- Removing and placing color ties
- Inserting and removing orthodontic appliances (per doctor direction)
- Preparing bond trays and assisting during bonding and debonding
- Taking accurate impressions, photos, and digital scans
- Providing clear oral hygiene and appliance care instructions
Clinic Flow & Efficiency
- Manage your patients with speed, accuracy, and professionalism
- Anticipate the doctor’s needs to reduce chair time
- Prepare patients and rooms before the doctor enters
- Keep trays and instruments stocked and organized
- Assist the doctor quickly and confidently during procedures
- Hand off the doctor efficiently so patients stay on schedule
