About the Role
We are seeking a Production Operator to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for operating equipment, performing assembly tasks, and ensuring product quality while maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
What You’ll Do
- Perform daily start-up checks on equipment (robots, chillers, cranes, etc.)
- Complete assembly and fabrication using hand tools, power tools, and equipment
- Load/unload parts and operate machines or robotic systems
- Monitor machines for performance and perform basic troubleshooting
- Meet production quotas and cycle times
- Conduct visual quality checks (cracks, defects, missing components, etc.)
- Follow all procedures for traceability and documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S principles
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience as a machine or production operator preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or abnormalities
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing or assembly environments
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S practices
- Ability to identify root causes of defects and prevent reoccurrence
Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
- Standing and walking for most of the shift
- Bending, crouching, and reaching required
- Manufacturing/shop environment (temperature changes)
- Noise exposure; PPE required (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, etc.)
