Why does the job exist?
The Supervisor, Child Support will:
Train, direct, and evaluate a team of Child Support Specialists in a field office to ensure Federal and State laws and regulations, as well as department policies and procedures are followed.
How does it get done?
The Supervisor, Child Support is responsible for:
Monitoring caseload management of Child Support Specialists to ensure they are achieving productivity and quality goals established;
Assisting in overall office management.
Who are the customers?
External customers including custodial and non-custodial parents;
Employers;
Child Support Services Division (CSSD) field staff, management and Attorneys.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in any field from an accredited college/university and two (2) years of experience in legal research or legal document preparation, accounting, finance, or social health, or human service program development or delivery and/or clerical experience in a Child Support Office. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Office setting, exposure to VDT, extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some travel may be required.
