Duties
- Set up and operate screen printing presses, ensuring proper registration, ink consistency, and alignment for each job
- Prepare screens by cleaning, coating, exposing, and reclaiming them using prepress techniques and equipment
- Manage color matching and color management processes to achieve accurate hues and vibrant visuals
- Inspect printed products for quality control, checking for registration issues, ink coverage, and defect-free finishes
- Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs with maintenance teams
- Assist with layout design and graphic adjustments using Adobe Creative Suite to meet client specifications
- Support the production workflow by managing inventory of inks, screens, substrates, and other supplies
Skills
- Proven experience in screen printing techniques and equipment operation
- Strong understanding of prepress processes including exposure and reclaiming screens
- Expertise in color management and matching using industry-standard tools and software
- Knowledge of graphic design principles, typography, layout design, and print advertising standards
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for preparing artwork files
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments, CNC machinery, flexo presses, or machining is a plus
- Ability to operate forklifts safely when handling raw materials or finished products
- Keen eye for quality control to ensure finished prints meet high standards of clarity and durability
