Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations using advanced tools such as EMR/EHR systems and medical imaging.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for a wide range of health issues, including acute illnesses, chronic disease management, and preventive care strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with specialists across disciplines such as cardiology, endocrinology, dermatology, pulmonology, and more to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize diagnostic radiology and laboratory results to inform accurate diagnoses and treatment options.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, basic life support interventions, wound care, and ostomy care with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, lifestyle modifications, medication management—including medication administration—and preventive measures like immunizations.
- Maintain detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards and CPT coding requirements for billing accuracy.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
Experience
- Post-residency experience in family medicine or primary care is required, demonstrating proficiency in managing diverse patient populations across outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems is essential for efficient documentation and patient data management.
- Familiarity with hospital medicine procedures such as triage, inpatient assessments, and discharge planning enhances your ability to deliver seamless care.
- Prior involvement in healthcare diagnosis using imaging modalities like CT scans or diagnostic radiology is advantageous.
- Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers or hospital environments ensures readiness for acute care situations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology—including psychopharmacology—and clinical research practices supports comprehensive patient management.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across specialties such as anesthesiology, oncology, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), neurology, rheumatology, and others enhances the quality of care provided.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
