Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drive shafts, ensuring proper functionality.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and alignments to improve ride quality and handling.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical systems such as automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs, replacements, and adjustments on mechanical parts.
- Service vehicle maintenance needs such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to uphold safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery while maintaining excellent customer service throughout the repair process.
Experience
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation and automotive wiring diagram analysis.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration and diagnostics is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, and electrical components.
- Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools and understanding of automotive electrical systems.
- Experience working on light duty diesel engines is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
