Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate floor care techniques, including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Handle cleaning tasks with various chemical agents safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to ensure a secure environment.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and scrubbers efficiently while maintaining their proper functioning.
- Conduct custodial duties including dusting, sanitation of public areas, restrooms, hallways, and stairwells to uphold high hygiene standards.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when moving furniture or cleaning supplies in accordance with safety procedures.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or facility maintenance with excellent customer service skills.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues immediately for swift resolution.
Experience
- Prior hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience in hospitality settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in industrial cleaning, janitorial work, or hotel housekeeping management roles.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, floor cleaning techniques, and the proper handling of chemical agents.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols including the use of safety data sheets (SDS).
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and other janitorial tools is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude that enhances guest experiences during evening hours.
