Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions and cash register operations
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and cash drawer balancing with accuracy and integrity
- Assist customers with product demos, upselling, and answering questions about store merchandise
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products effectively
- Ensure proper phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support store cleanliness and organization through routine stocking and inventory management tasks
- Apply basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for retail transactions and cash handling
- Supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for team support roles
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and stock management practices is beneficial
