Dental Assistant
We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our team full-time.
The right person should be comfortable working in a fast-paced dental office, assisting doctors and patients, and being part of a team. Experience is preferred, but we are also willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and clinical team during patient treatment.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
- Take and process X-rays as needed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment.
- Follow proper sterilization and infection control procedures.
- Assist with general dentistry, oral surgery, implant procedures, and other treatments.
- Help make sure patients feel comfortable and well taken care of.
- Keep treatment rooms stocked and ready for patients.
- Assist with other clinical duties as needed.
Travel Requirement
Travel is a required part of this position.
You must be willing and able to travel to Austin and San Antonio at least once per month, and possibly more often depending on the schedule. Travel will be primarily for oral surgery and implant days.
The position may also require helping transport and set up equipment. You must be able to lift and move heavy equipment as part of the job.
Training & Certifications
We will provide training and support for the right candidate. We will also help you obtain the required Dental assistant, CPR, BLS and ACLS certifications.
Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
- Experience assisting with oral surgery or implants is a plus, but training can be provided.
- Must be comfortable working in a busy and fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable, organized, and able to work well with a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Must be willing to travel to Austin and San Antonio at least once per month.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment.
- Willingness to learn and take on different responsibilities when needed.
