Overview
The Volunteer and Front Desk Supervisor plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, organized, and mission-driven environment for members, participants, volunteers, and community guests. This dynamic position combines leadership, volunteer coordination, front-of-house operations, and community engagement to help ensure the organization's daily success. The ideal candidate is a people-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting volunteers, solving problems, and creating positive experiences for others. Working closely with staff and leadership, this individual will help strengthen operations, support events and programs, and contribute to a collaborative and uplifting atmosphere where both volunteers and members feel valued and connected.
DUTIES

Volunteer Management
- Recruit, screen, train, and onboard front desk & center volunteers.
- Schedule and coordinate volunteer assignments and activities.
- Maintain volunteer records and performance documentation.
- Develop volunteer appreciation and recognition programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteer questions and concerns.
- Ensure volunteers follow organizational policies and procedures.
Front-of the House
- · Oversee front-of-house daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist with event coordination, including setup and volunteer staffing.
- Manage office procedures, supplies, and facility needs.
- Support financial processes by reconciling daily and weekly reports and preparing deposits.
- Coordinate communication between staff, volunteers, participants, and community partners.
- Ensure compliance with safety, confidentiality, and organizational standards.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Work closely with leadership to improve organizational systems and processes.
- Support staff and volunteers in achieving organizational objectives.
- Help identify operational improvements and implement solutions.
- Oversee Front Desk Lead position.
- Assists the Front Desk Lead in addressing concerns, membership issues, and scheduling changes in a professional, calm, and solution-focused manner when needed.
Front Desk Support
- Serve as backup support for front desk operations by filling in as needed during volunteer shortages or staff absences.
- Answer phones, assist callers, and forward messages appropriately.
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
- Greet and assist participants, members, visitors, and community guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage canteen operations, including organization, sales, and inventory support.
- Register participants for programs, activities, and events.
- Assist with new member enrollment and conduct new member tours/orientations.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a welcoming and organized front desk environment.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
