Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Technician to support incoming shipments and manufactured products. This role ensures products meet quality standards and customer specifications while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
You will inspect parts and products, collect data, and work closely with multiple departments to resolve quality and production issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety, quality, and performance standards are met
- Inspect incoming materials and finished products
- Measure parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Collect and track quality data
- Perform product testing and audits
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Assembly, and Sales teams
- Identify and resolve product and supplier discrepancies
- Maintain clean and organized work and storage areas
- Assist with inventory and material handling (including forklift operation)
- Train and mentor team members as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and emergency protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6+ months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Experience with AS400 systems
Skills & Experience
- Experience with quality inspections and audits
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is a plus
- Experience using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and flexible hours as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks
