Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Home Sharing Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis, working 0.5 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). This vital role involves the day-to-day administration and coordination of the Northern Nevada HomeShare (NNHS) program. This position plays a critical role in facilitating safe, successful, and mutually beneficial home-sharing arrangements between hosts and guests.
The Home Sharing Administrator oversees participant intake, screening coordination, interviews, compatibility matching, home-sharing agreement facilitation, volunteer supervision, data management, and grant reporting. Dedicated oversight is essential to ensure participant safety, confidentiality, program integrity, and adherence to best practices in shared housing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Participant Recruitment and Intake
- Respond to inquiries from prospective hosts and guests.
- Conduct participant intake and orientation.
- Assist applicants with completing program applications and required documentation.
- Maintain regular communication with applicants throughout the enrollment process.
Screening and Assessment
- Coordinate background checks, credit checks, reference checks, and other screening activities as required by program policies.
- Review applications and supporting documentation for completeness.
- Conduct interviews with prospective hosts and guests to assess housing needs, preferences, expectations, and compatibility factors.
- Perform or coordinate home visits and safety assessments, as appropriate.
Compatibility Matching and Facilitation
- Evaluate participant profiles and identify potential home-sharing matches.
- Facilitate introductions and initial meetings between prospective hosts and guests.
- Assist participants in discussing expectations, household preferences, and shared living arrangements.
- Support the development and completion of Living Together Agreements and other program-related documents.
- Provide mediation and conflict-resolution support as needed.
Volunteer Coordination and Supervision
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support program volunteers.
- Assign volunteer responsibilities and monitor performance.
- Ensure volunteers adhere to confidentiality requirements and program procedures.
Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain accurate participant records and program documentation.
- Utilize program databases and software systems to track applications, participant outcomes, and program activities.
- Monitor key performance indicators and collect program evaluation data.
- Prepare reports required by grant funders, organizational leadership, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting deadlines.
Community Outreach and Program Support
- Represent NNHS at community events, presentations, and outreach activities.
- Develop relationships with community partners and referral sources.
- Assist with marketing and public awareness efforts to recruit hosts, guests, and volunteers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in social services, housing programs, case management, volunteer coordination, nonprofit administration, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal, interviewing, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online database systems.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, public administration, gerontology, or a related field.
- Experience working with older adults, individuals seeking housing, or vulnerable populations.
- Experience with mediation, conflict resolution, or participant matching programs.
- Knowledge of fair housing principles and shared housing best practices.
Working Conditions
This position requires a combination of office-based work, virtual communication, community outreach, and occasional travel within Northern Nevada. Some evening or weekend hours may be required to accommodate participant schedules, community presentations, or program events.
