Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across various clinical settings, including hospital, outpatient, and urgent care environments. Your expertise will support physicians in delivering comprehensive medical services, performing physical examinations, diagnosing conditions, and managing treatment plans. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including history-taking, physical examinations, vital signs, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Administer injections such as botulinum toxin treatments and perform procedures including suturing, dermal fillers, and dermabrasion
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of medical records, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT procedures, and data collection.
- Participate in clinical research trials, collect data for quality improvement projects, and contribute to public health initiatives
- Engage in triage activities in emergency or urgent care settings to prioritize patient needs effectively.
- Assist in discharge planning, hospice & palliative medicine consultations, and occupational health assessments.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant with current NCCPA certification
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner or eClinicalWorks;
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and drug enforcement regulations (DEA).
- Hands-on skills in suturing, injection administration (including Botox), phlebotomy, and aseptic technique.
- Strong understanding of infectious disease care, pain management protocols, and acute care procedures.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to perform physical exams efficiently across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards.
